Dear TeaP participants!

Thank you everybody for visiting the conference and for contributing to the wonderful atmosphere. We hope that you all had a safe trip home and continue to profit from the scientific exchange and input that you found at the TeaP 2012 in Mannheim.

Some statistics:

  • There were exactly 800 scientific contributions (528 oral presentations, 4 keynote addresses, and 268 posters) and more than 900 participants from 20 different countries. More than 90% of the contributions were submitted and presented in English.
  • The visitors consumed 110 kg of apples, 75 kg of bananas, 60 kg of tangerines, 1875 pieces of cake, and 1250 pretzels as well as 1260 bottles of water, 420 bottles of orange juice, and 192 litres of milk.

We would like to thank all those individuals who supported us in preparing and running the large conference. It was a lot of work, but we are glad that we did it.

The TeaP (abbrev. for "Tagung experimentell arbeitender Psychologen") is one of the largest psychological research conferences in Germany. It is dedicated to The experimental approach to Psychology, and it has a long-standing tradition. The first TeaP was held in Marburg in 1959, and since then this annual meeting has become one of the most important conferences for experimental psychologists from various fields (e.g., cognitive, biological, social, educational, clinical, or developmental psychology).

With usually more than 500 contributions (organized into keynotes, symposia, sessions with talks, and poster sessions), the TeaP offers a rich environment for the exchange of scientific ideas for junior as well as established scientists who share the experimental method in their psychological research.

In 2012, we are pleased to host the TeaP at the University of Mannheim. For the first time in the history of the TeaP, the official conference language will be English. However, submissions of both English and German language presentations are welcome.
